FEMALE LINE
The foundation mare is the American SALLY ANN SHUTER ( the same to Waikiki Beach father to Varenne, Southwind Lustre, Libeccio Grif, Adrian Chip, Amigo Hall, Fairbank Gi,... ). SOUTHWIND VERNON can boast a direct female line marked by a regular production of FIRST CLASS STALLIONS: the second dam produced Southwind Lustre and the third dam produced the Italian Top Sire Waikiki Beach. The first dam too will be listed as producer of a first class stallion. SOUTHWIND VERNON will certainly transfer the gene of his female line to the progeny thanks to the perfect morphology, to the blood of PINE CHIP and VALLEY VICTORY, to the precocious and valuable racing career, to the awesome gait and to a lion’s heart.
The 1st dam is VALLEY GO GO ( at 3, 1.13.6 ), a beautiful VALLEY VICTORY ( she was purchased at Harrisburg Yearlings Sale for $250.000 ).
She died in 2004 still young and produced three foals only: SOUTHWIND VERNON, her first foal, Voyager Sp ( 1.13.3 ) and Southwind Val that is the full sister to our CHAMPION and dam to the World Champion LIBECCIO GRIF ( 1.10.7F over the 1-1/4 mile distance - € 628.239), winner of Group 1 races Gran Premio Lotteria 2011 and Copenhagen Cup 2011.
The 2nd dam is the excellent Speedy Crown's daughter ARMBRO LIMBO that showed precocity and class ( at 2, 1.13.8 ).
She raced against the best fillies of her generation collecting important wins ( at 2 and 3 NYSS and second in
Breeders Crown, Bluegrass and Johnston Memorial ).
She produced: Southwind Arizona ( 1.12.8 ), Limbo Glide ( 1.12.0 ) winner of Old Oaken Bucket and full brother to SOUTHWIND VERNON's mother Southwind Lustre ( 1.10.8 ) winner of Historic Dickerson Cup.
SOUTHWIND LUSTRE is an extraordinary American Stallion that, thanks to the impressive average of "2YO EARNINGS PER STARTER", in 2009 has been a LEADING SIRE OF 2 YR OLDS" dominating international stars such as Andover Hall, Muscles Yankee, Yankee Glide, Windsong Legacy, Cantab Hall, Conway Hall, Credit Winner,... The 3rd dam is the well-known Classic Multiple-Producer HULA LOBELL dam to the Top Sire Waikiki Beach, Giant Volcano ( 1.13.3 ) at 2 winner of American National, Armbro Tropicana and Armbro Waikiki ( 1.13.8 ).
